This week's painting is a bit of glorious fall color from a trip last fall to the Rufus Morgan Falls trail area. That particular day netted a rich collection of references.

This is really funny - I'm actually working on a similar painting right now! We sat waiting at the orthodontist's office and I did a sketch of the tree directly above us, and... it was born! I've got a ways to go, though - maybe three more hours of painting before I show it.
